Nanodiag project meeting at the NMI

Tiny holes, great opportunities: Today (March 17), a nanodiag BW project meeting took place at the NMI. Presentations and discussions focused on the opportunities offered by solid-state nanopores and possible applications. The more than 20 participants from the various project partners also talked about which manufacturing methods are useful and scalable.

Nanopores are tiny openings in molecular dimensions. They can be used as biosensors to characterize and distinguish individual molecules. In the nanodiag BW future cluster, this is to be used to better understand diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's and diabetes. Universities, research institutions and companies are working together in the nanodiag BW project.

More information on the future cluster can be found at nanodiag.de/en/project/.
