Monoclonal antibodies allow innovative, targeted therapy approaches in oncology

Monoclonal antibodies are used as innovative therapeutic tools in oncology and other indications. In preclinical development, in addition to a demonstration of efficacy, further parameters such as the dynamics of epitope-specific cellular uptake or the intracellular processing of therapeutic immunoglobulins are to be determined.

Our services

  • Provision of cellular assay systems for the analysis of binding and downstream internalization of monoclonal antibodies
  • Time-resolved documentation of the internalization process
  • Determination of internalization parameters by quantitative image analysis including 3D/4D reconstructions of the internalization process
  • Elucidation of intracellular processing of internalized antibodies

Methods

  • Confocal fluorescence and live cell microscopy

  • Quantitative analysis of microscopic image data

  • 3D and 4D reconstructions and animations

Instruments

  • Microscopy: Carl Zeiss CLSM + Cell Observer SD, Molecular Devices ImageXpress Micro confocal

  • Software: Oxford Instruments IMARIS 10, Molecular Devices MetaXpress 6.7
