Non-destructive imaging techniques for biomaterials and biological samples
Using endogenous fluorophores and molecule-specific spectral signatures - comparable to a characteristic fingerprint - images and data can be collected without affecting the sample state and also enables time-resolved, dynamic measurements.
Our services
Establishing and performing non-destructive and marker-independent microscopic procedures on synthetic and biological samples, especially for biomedical issues, such as:
- In vitro and in vivo degradation of biodegradable (implant) materials
- Real-time monitoring of pharmacological effects in in vitro cell culture models
- Investigation of morphological and molecular changes, e.g. in collagens
Methods
- Raman Spectroscopy & Microscopy, SERS and CARS Spectroscopy
- Multiphoton-Microscopy (TPEF, SHG, THG)
- Fluorescence- und Phosphorescence-Liftime Microscopy (FLIM, PLIM)
- Confocal Flourescence Microscopy
- 3D Image Reconstruction
- Multivariate data analysis and machine learning
- Spectral biomolecule databases
