Progress in bioprinting: NMI and pioneering projects
The NMI has recently demonstrated its important role in the field of bioprinting. In the current brochure of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on bioprinting, two pioneering projects of the NMI were presented: "Protocols for standardized bioprinting" and "Nature-inspired bioprinting platform".
These projects focus on materials research in bioprinting, an innovative approach that enables the production of three-dimensional biological structures.
Dr. Hanna Hartmann, Head of Biomedicine and Materials Science, was also interviewed in the brochure. Her expert contribution highlights in particular the importance of standardization and commercialization in bioprinting.
