Foundation and Board of Trustees

The institute is a non-profit foundation under civil law with the purpose of taking up results from basic research and putting them to commercial use. The board of the foundation is at the same time the director of the institute. A board of trustees acts as a supervisory body, and its high-caliber membership is evidence of the NMI's partnership with politics, research and industry.
