The "ÖkoMoBiL" research project is funded as part of the biohymed cooperation network. The NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute, Scheerer Logistik GmbH [&] Co. KG and Remsgold Chemie GmbH [&] Co. KG are jointly developing an ecological cleaning system for industrial use based on whey.
In industry, reusable plastic containers have proven their worth for efficient logistics processes. The reusability of these small load carriers, KLT for short, makes ecological and economic sense, but requires economically effective and high-quality cleaning.
By optimizing automated washing systems in conjunction with the ecological whey-based cleaners, a completely new cleaning process is to be developed that will enable industrial application for medical technology. In the project, a new automated analysis method will be used to objectively evaluate the degree of contamination and thus the effectiveness of this cleaning method in a validated cleaning process.
