Complementary and correlative imaging for 3D bioprinting.

Description

The project goal is to enable multiparametric analysis of cell-material interactions by combining different methods and to use the correlation of the results for better understanding and further development of complex 3D bioprinting constructs. Based on the applicants' extensive prior experience, the following methods will be combined for correlative data generation: Fluorescence Microscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, and Analytical Electron Microscopy.

Under the grant, once the correlative workflow is established, test series will be established and validated to demonstrate the applicability of the combined process platform.

Protocols for multimodal imaging and data processing will be established and functionality will be evaluated using various 3D bioprints. The ultimate goal is the commercial exploitation as a service for research and development and in the context of quality assurance of 3D biomaterials.
