Cleanliness standards of coatings containing copper

Development of nanostructured, open-pore PVD diffusion coatings for the controlled delivery of copper ions for the targeted killing of multi-resistant germs in sterile areas and the development of standards for evaluating the cleanliness of these coatings.

In the project, nanostructured,[nbsp] open-pore, antibacterial PVD diffusion coatings are developed for the controlled delivery of copper ions for the targeted killing of multi-resistant germs in sterile areas. In order to assess the cleanliness of these coatings, standard surfaces are developed using surface analytical methods such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).
