“Thymus-on-Chip” project: kick-off meeting at the NMI
The thymus is a small but vital organ in the human body that "trains" immune cells to recognize and fight off disease. Together with its partners from Genewity B.V. and Pyroscience GmbH, the NMI's Organ-on-Chip working group aims to develop the world's first thymus-on-chip system.
Last Tuesday, May 27, the partners met at the NMI for a kick-off meeting. In addition to getting to know each other personally, the meeting focused on the first steps in the project, which will run until 2027.
