The fourth annual event of the Forum Gesundheitsstandort with Prof. Dr. Katja Schenke-Layland

The fourth annual meeting of the Forum Gesundheitsstandort Baden-Württemberg on November 24, 2022, at the Heilbronn Concert and Congress Center Harmonie was attended by numerous representatives of the state government. The "Forum Gesundheitsstandort Baden-Württemberg" was founded in 2018 on the initiative of Minister President Winfried Kretschmann.

In spring 2022, Baden-Württemberg adopted a roadmap for health data use and defined measures to drive forward standardization, networking and better access to health data. In doing so, the state aims to leverage the wealth of experience that can be gained when a large amount of data on comparable disease progression and therapies can be combined. "We have taken the initiative in the Bundesrat to achieve better use of health data for research purposes at the federal level," Kretschmann added. In addition, he said, the state itself is leading the way by examining relevant state laws, developing its own data rooms and launching the Together for Healthier campaign to engage with people on digital medicine and raise awareness.

Prof. Dr. Katja Schenke-Layland Katja Schenke-Layland was also part of the fourth annual event. In an interesting discussion, the director of the NMI spoke together with Minister Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut and Hagen Pfundner about private industry and data access.
