NMI scientists at the MPS World Summit
A keynote lecture by Peter Loskill, Group Leader Organ-on-Chip at the NMI, concluded this year's MPS World Summit, one of the most important conferences in the field of microphysiological systems (MPS). The MicroOrganoLab was strongly represented at the congress in Brussels, so several NMI employees were among the more than 1500 participants.
They took the opportunity to present their scientific work on a total of five posters as well as with a lecture by Hannah Graf. Silke Riegger also gave a lecture as part of the EUROoCs Academy in front of an audience of around 150. The lectures and posters focused on advanced organ-on-chip (OoC) technologies for studying immune-tissue interactions, metabolic monitoring, hepatotoxicity and lymphoid structures supporting translational research and the 3Rs principles.
The conclusion of a week of insights into outstanding research on organ-on-chip and microphysiological systems left many new insights and contacts.
