NMI in India

A huge country, a fast-growing market, for example for medical products: India, with its medical industry and healthcare sector, offers the NMI many opportunities for partnerships. Dr Monika Bach, Head of Division at the NMI, is currently travelling there as part of a delegation trip organised by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs.

During her stops in Delhi, Pune and Mumbai, she is visiting companies, hospitals and also attending a reception at the German embassy in order to make new contacts for contracts or research projects. The enormous size of the country, with its many ethnic groups and regional differences, makes it possible to research how these factors affect cancer, for example.
