HEAL-X Bioink: Project partners visit the NMI
The partners in the HEAL-X Bioink project are currently spending a whole week at the NMI. Colleagues from TU Darmstadt and the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research are at the institute to carry out project-related experiments together during a training week. These include 3D bioprinting and microscopy, for which the electron microscope in the Nanoanalytics Center is also being used.
The aim of the HEAL-X Bioink project is to develop a self-healing, bio-inspired, and functional hydrogel platform for next-generation 3D bioprinting. By transferring biological principles, the aim is to achieve self-healing gel properties, cell adhesion, directed cell interaction and organization, and temporally and spatially resolved release of active substances in a mechanically stable bioink.
