Vascularization in complex in vitro models

The vascular network forms a fundamental transport system in the human body, responsible for delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues. When constructing complex tissue models under laboratory conditions, vascularization is a key factor that enhances tissue viability and supports essential functions in both healthy and diseased states. This webinar explores the role of vascularization and showcases state-of-the-art strategies for vascularizing complex in vitro models, including Organ-on-Chip systems. We will delve into both the potential and the challenges of vascularizing various tissue types in vitro. As a case study, we present the vascularization of human skeletal muscle and discuss its potential application areas.
