The project bundles technological advances in molecular medicine, nanotechnology and digital technology to prepare industry in Baden-Württemberg for next-generation diagnostics. Demonstrators for future applications in telemedicine or by caregivers will include a therapy-accompanying self-test for kidney transplant patients and a patient self-test to detect antibiotic-resistant pathogens and inflammation. The work packages at the NMI focus on the production, integration and optimization of solid-state anophores as low-noise single-molecule sensors.
