Novel Diagnostic Biomarkers
Spectral patterns in blood samples for early detection of diseases
Liquid biopsies, such as blood, are easier to generate from the patient than tissue samples. They may contain analytes indicative of specific diseases or pathologies. Using spectroscopic techniques and machine learning, we can identify new biomarkers in patient samples for use in the development of point-of-care diagnostics and biosensors.
Our research focus is especially on preventive diagnostics of miscarriages as well as cancer.
