Target Research

Target Research comprises of the identification and validation of a target’s potential therapeutic or diagnostic benefit. By offering lead identification and optimization methods as well as customized cell lines for target validation, the NMI will support your target research activities.

Selecting an optimum research target is an often time-consuming process. For this purpose, the NMI is equipped to support you in all stages of target research, from initial identification through validation by utilizing a broad range of primary models (e.g. xenopus oocyte), standard (e.g. maternal or primary) and custom cell lines (e.g. CRISPR-edited). Mode of action and validation of a target can be further analyzed with an extensive range of basic and functional characterizations (e.g. protein localization, cell profiling, apoptosis etc).
