IDOL research project - positive in vitro data available

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in Germany and at the same time has a particularly high mortality rate. One of the reasons for this is that lung tumors are often drug-resistant, which prevents chemotherapy from being successful.

A team of experts from Baden-Württemberg, consisting of hospital representatives, researchers and industry partners, has therefore joined forces as part of a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection to develop a novel AI-supported testing procedure that should allow individualized therapy approaches for lung cancer in the future.
