Nondestructive Imaging of Dynamic Cellular Processes

Real-time monitoring of pharmacological and pathophysiological effects in tissue models

Conventional analytical methods and cell-based assays often present end-point measurements or do not allow spatial resolution. We are working on the implementation of molecularly sensitive but non-destructive imaging techniques for the visualization of molecular and metabolic changes in living cell culture models. These will help to perform drug testing in a time-resolved manner, to test patient-specific efficiencies and sensitivities, and to better visualize and understand dynamic effects such as mechanisms of action or cellular interactions.
