Final trip of the Nobel Laureate Meeting at Lake Constance

The 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting #LINO23, dedicated to the theme of physiology/medicine, was held from June 25-30, 2023. 38 Nobel Laureates and computer scientist Shwetak N. Patel, who received the 2018 ACM Prize in Computing, participated in this special event. They met more than 600 young scientists from all over the world to have fruitful discussions and inspiring encounters.

Dr. Markus Templin, group leader assay development, was also invited to the final trip on June 30, 2023. He spoke about the possibilities of detecting skin cancer at an early stage thanks to AI.  Artificial intelligence-based software systems offer the possibility to continuously adapt diagnostics. The combination of imaging and AI increases the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical diagnostics.
