Research focuses on the development of novel high-performance materials, processes for surface treatment appropriate to the stress in terms of microstructure and topography, the characterisation of deformation and failure behaviour, damage analyses and processing.
Extensive equipment with testing and diagnostic facilities forms the basis for successful research.
