Lossless single-molecule counting to absolute quantify proteoforms

A novel immunoassay, termed Protein Interaction Coupling (PICO), is introduced to deliver clear, reference-free quantification of proteoforms - precise quantification. PICO employs a compartmentalized, homogeneous single-molecule assay with lossless and sensitive signal generation, capable of detecting down to a few molecules per reaction.

Cross-sectional evaluation of host biomarkers for guiding antibiotic use in bacterial and non-bacterial acute febrile illness in low- and middle-income tropical settings

To evaluate the effectiveness of 18 different host biomarkers in differentiating bacterial from non-bacterial acute febrile illness (AFI) in resource-limited settings, specifically in Brazil, Malawi and Gabon.

A novel method for recombinant mammalian-expressed S-HBsAg virus-like particle production for assembly status analysis and improved anti-HBs serology

The Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) as the only lipid-associated envelope protein of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) acts as cellular attachment and entry mediator of HBV making it the main target of neutralizing antibodies to provide HBV immunity after infection or vaccination.

Chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment and its long-term development in patients with breast cancer: results from the observational CICARO study

Chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment (CICI) is a well-recognized side effect of breast cancer treatment. However, prospective long-term evaluations of CICI using standardized neuropsychological tests are scarce.

The long way from raw data to NAM-based information: Overview on data layers and processing steps

Toxicological test methods generate raw data and provide instructions on how to use these to determine a final outcome such as a classification of test compounds as hits or non-hits.

3-D-Druck in der Chirurgie: Relevanz der Bewertung der Technologiereife in Forschungsstudien zum Bioprinting

Biological 3D printing (bioprinting) is an extension of what is defined as additive manufacturing in the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and is based on the automated printing of living cells and biomaterials.

Novel multiplex tools in an epidemic panel improve prediction of RSV infection dynamics and disease burden – a RESPINOW analysis

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among infants and adult risk groups worldwide. Substantial case-underdetection and gaps in the understanding of reinfection dynamics of RSV limit reliable projection estimates.
