Why should I apply to the NMI?
There are many reasons why you should apply to the NMI. Here you can expect not only a friendly and interdisciplinary team, but also fulfilling tasks.
The NMI itself is characterized by its close ties to both science and industry. This is accompanied by a large number of exciting projects that ensure a varied workday. The subdivision of the research institute into three business areas and 17 groups reflects the institute's broad range of expertise.
Here, research is always carried out on promising and highly relevant topics, especially in the area of the health industry. Personalized medicine as well as the biologization, miniaturization and digitalization of medicine (medical technology) are further overriding topics.
In addition to meaningful research, the NMI is also convincing because of its flexible working hours, good public transport connections - the bus stop is right outside the door - and employee parking spaces.
The NMI also has its own canteen, which offers a selection of meals every lunchtime.
Can I write my final or doctoral thesis at the NMI?
Yes, you can do your research at the NMI. Theses are always written in cooperation with your university, and the topic is agreed upon with your supervisor and the NMI. Doctoral theses can also be carried out at the NMI in cooperation with a university.
How is the payment at the NMI made?
Our employees are remunerated according to the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L).
