The Natural and Medical Sciences Institute (NMI) at the University of Tübingen undertakes applied research and development at the interface of life sciences and material sciences.
An interdisciplinary team of scientists opens up and develops new technologies for companies and public research sponsors in the fields of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, biomedical technology and surface and materials technology. Since its foundation in 1985, the NMI has developed into a stable bridge between science and industry.
The NMI researches and develops on important future topics and for applications in the fields of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, biomedical technology and surface and interface technology. The institute is committed to knowledge and technology transfer and sees itself as a bridge between science and industry.
