Text:
The aim of the project is the development of a volume-stable, elastic scaffold based on collagen foam for dental use in vertical augmentation of the jawbone. The collagen is used as a concentrated suspension, whereby the starting material is porcine collagen, thus ensuring good availability and economic efficiency. An application solution to be developed with a spray can and foaming nozzle as well as mechanical-physical and chemical stabilisation of the sterile foam structure (xenogenic granulate, cross-linker) ensures easy application and biocompatibility as well as degradation (absorption) in accordance with requirements.

Within the scope of the project, the necessary material and process-related aspects are developed, the application device is designed and prototyped and the overall system is clinically validated.
