Development of nanostructured, open-pored PVD diffusion layers for the controlled release of copper ions for the targeted killing of multi-resistant germs in sterile areas and the development of standards for the evaluation of the cleanliness of these layers.

Description:

The project develops nanostructured,  open-pored, antibacterial PVD diffusion layers for the controlled release of copper ions for the targeted killing of multi-resistant germs in sterile areas. In order to assess the cleanliness of these layers, standard surfaces are developed using surface analytical methods such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
