Our strong team of creative employees with a wide range of interdisciplinary expertise and aided by our flexible corporative structures achieves fast and effective results for our small, middle-sized and large company customers. The NMI is part of the Baden-Württemberg Innovation Alliance (innBW), an alliance of independent research institutes. These institutes conduct results-oriented contract research in the important future fields of sustainable mobility, environmental technology and resource efficiency, health and care, information and communication.

microTEC Südwest is a cluster of technologies in the southwest of Germany. In the growth-oriented sector of microsystems technology, microTEC Südwest with its 360 cluster partners is one of the largest technology networks in Europe. The NMI is a member and supports the microsystems technology network based in Freiburg.

The German Industrial Research Association Konrad Zuse e.V. represents the public interests of non-profit industrial research institutions in Germany. The members of the association are independent research institutions from all over Germany that offer a broad spectrum of technological expertise.

The MedicalMountains Cluster Management offers a network that goes beyond the boundaries of the cluster structure of the Tuttlingen/Neckar-Alb region and strengthens the international competitiveness of local companies in the field of medical technology. We create the framework conditions to accelerate innovation, stimulate cooperations and support the development of foreign markets.

 

To make it easier for small and medium-sized companies to implement projects in microsystems technology, the NMI works closely with funding institutions such as the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF), whose network has already successfully implemented many projects for industry.
