NMI and KIT become cooperation partners

After the NMI and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) have already worked on joint projects in the past, a long-term cooperation will now be sealed by a cooperation agreement. Following our visit to Karlsruhe last June, the KIT has now followed our invitation to Reutlingen in order to intensify the discussions on the possibilities of a long-term cooperation. Following on from the first meeting last year, scientists from both institutions have now come together in order to identify commonalities and potential for cooperation. The 14 collaborators who came from Karlsruhe on February 21st are as diverse as the NMI's business areas.

Much to our delight, the intensive and inspiring meeting will be followed by concrete projects that extend across all our areas of expertise. Beyond that, however, we are particularly looking for a long-term, project-independent collaboration, which is to be emphasized by signing a cooperation agreement.

We are very pleased to have KIT as a strong partner on our side and appreciate its expertise and professional competence. Furthermore, we are convinced that this cooperation will lead to groundbreaking research results for science and industry.
