This miniaturized multiplex technology really comes into its own with small sample quantities of serum. Due to its high sensitivity and specificity, the technology quickly became established at NMI and is being constantly further developed.
The use of two antibodies in a sandwich ELISA gives rise to high sensitivity and specificity. As these approaches require two specific antibodies for each protein, we are working intensively on finding more efficient methods that can be used to characterize suitable capture and detection antibodies.
